The interplay between the Medical Devices Regulation and the AI Act

The Health Law Research Centre and the AICARE seminar series welcomes you to the seminar "The interplay between the Medical Devices Regulation and the AI Act" with Lars Andre Strøm Arnesen!

The seminar will focus on the interplay between the MDR and the AI Act, mainly on the role of hospitals and healthcare institutions as procurers and deployers of medical AI. It will also explore the relationship between the individual responsibility of healthcare personnel and the institutional responsibility of hospitals and healthcare institutions.

Arnesen is part of RESPIRE, an interdisciplinary research project at the University of Oslo that explores the legal, ethical, medical, and technical requirements for the design, development, and deployment of medical AI.
